Camilla Parker Bowles Gives Us Another Glimpse Inside Her Home for World Bee Day

Camilla Parker Bowles can add President of Bees for Development to her list of many titles.

In honor of World Bee Day, the Duchess of Cornwall announced her new role and shared a sweet video message emphasizing the importance of Bees for Development, an organization that provides free beekeeping information and support to individuals in more than 130 countries. Who knew?

“As we all know, bees are vital to the natural world and an essential part of our fragile ecology. Keeping bees and harvesting honey is an old-age tradition,” she said in the clip. “But this remarkable charity has found a way to use the busy bee to help alleviate poverty and encourage biodiversity. It works to train and educate people in the simple methods needed to keep bees, often at little or no cost.”

In the process of revealing her big news, the 72-year-old royal also gave us another peek into her Birkhall home (something we can’t quite get enough of these days). In the last two months, the duchess and her husband, Prince Charles, have shown us a few rooms of the Scottish estate, including their home offices and living rooms. However, in this vid, Camilla is situated in a never-before-seen room, which features beige walls with gold accents, a fabric-patterned chair, and , naturally, some bee art.

We’re not surprised the duchess has been named President of the Bees. Last year, she joined a campaign to save the British honey bee and even installed nine hives in the backyard of her Wiltshire garden, according to the Inquisitr

Suddenly, we have the urge to purchase some bee-themed artwork.
