Let’s start with the fabric. Nicole went with the Ivory Performance Basketweave—a tightly woven, stain- and scratch-resistant fiber that’s engineered to take on daily life. “I have stained this couch once before—it is ivory, after all. I curled up for a nap after a few glasses of wine with friends at the park, and there was some residual dirt on my feet. The Bissell Little Green is still on my Amazon wish list, so I followed the cleaning instructions on the Burrow website, and although the process was a bit cumbersome, it did work,” she explains. Hair tends to cling to the weave, too, but as she puts it: “It’s nothing my beloved Dyson vacuum can’t fix.” For her, the tradeoff is worth it: “I love how sleek and modern it looks while still appearing warm and welcoming.”
But the real genius is in the modular build. The Nomad isn’t a one-and-done piece; it’s built to evolve with your life. Each section connects with hidden steel latches, so you can add, subtract, or rearrange as needed—whether that means expanding for a bigger apartment, breaking it down for a move, or swapping a chaise for an ottoman. Nicole went with the sprawling King sectional and an ottoman, which easily seats four adults and still leaves room to stretch out. “It’s the perfect size for having guests over! No one has to awkwardly squeeze, and there are tons of comfy configurations of people, including my favorite: two people horizontal, binging the latest episodes of Project Runway until 1 a.m.”
And then there are the customizations. Beyond the six fabric families (Performance Basketweaves, Performance Velvets and Top-Grain Leathers), you can choose from three arm styles—Block, Slope or Arch—and six leg finishes in wood or metal. The effect is a sectional that can skew mid-century, minimal, or glam, depending on your picks. Plus, Burrow sneaks in one clever feature you won’t find on most couches: a built-in fast-charging USB-C port hidden in the frame. Translation? Your phone stays alive through every binge-watch marathon.
