Season 2 of the hit Netflix show Bridgerton may have dropped more than a month ago, but its fashion influence is still going strong. Its fictionalized, fantasy version of Regency Era life has put staples like empire waist dresses, corset tops and even opera gloves on the top of our must-have wardrobe wish list. In fact, according to data from Nasty Gal, there’s been a 509 percent spike in demand for Regency period fashion, or at least pieces inspired by the era.

So, to help you in your quest to dress like Daphne, Kate or even the Featherington girls, we’ve rounded up the best Bridgerton-inspired trends to shop and wear ASAP, plus the best ways to incorporate them into your existing wardrobe for a fresh, modern vibe. We only hope Lady Whistledown will approve.

How to Have a ‘Bridgerton’ Wedding, Including What to Wear and How to Decorate

1. puff Sleeves

Puff sleeve dresses are literally everywhere in the world of the Bridgerton family, as they were one of the top styles of the Regency period (roughly 1800 to 1825). The 2022 version is a little more exaggerated, with larger poofs and longer sleeve lengths. They also work on both tops and dresses, with searches for each up 43 and 32 percent respectively. The best versions also incorporate a square or sweetheart neckline. And if you really want to go for a modern approach, slip those puffs down for a sexier off-the-shoulder silhouette.

Shop the trend: Staud Papaya Top ($185); Faithfull the Brand Vendita Minidress ($179); Tanya Taylor Aliyah Top ($295); Eloquii Puff Sleeve Dress ($32); English Factory Puff Sleeve Top ($80); Endless Summer Ain’t She A Beaut Midi Dress ($118)

2. empire Waistlines

To be frank, empire waists—which cinch just under the bust and flow straight down from there—aren’t the most flattering silhouette for those with bigger boobs. Most modern takes on the trend bring that line down just a few inches, so it still hits right above your natural waist, but won’t be confused for a maternity frock. To keep those Regency vibes going, opt for something with a square neckline and/or puff sleeves. As for the hemline, we prefer a midi or mini over a maxi-length dress, to show off those stems and avoid looking too formal.

Shop the trend: L*Space Zuri Dress ($165); Free People Peony Dress ($148); Pilcro Flutter-Sleeve Dress ($160); Banana Republic Ramie Dress ($200); Current Air Ruffled Dress ($170); Alice + Olivia Rosalyn Dress ($595)

3. pearl Jewelry

Viscountess Bridgerton’s pearl engagement ring gets quite a bit of screen time in season two, as Antony debates when (and if) to present it to Edwina. But we also get a clearer look at Daphne’s ring from the Duke (seen above), and it turns out that ring also features a set of pearls arranged to look like a flower. Add to that a smattering of dainty pearl earrings and pearl embellishments on clothing, and it’s no wonder we’ve all got pearlcore fever. There’s really no wrong way to rock this trend in 2022, but the most fashion-forward approaches involve mixing the white stone with edgier styles like chain links or mixed metals, or opting for misshapen Baroque pearls over perfect spheres.

Shop the trend: Monica Vinader Keshi Pearl Earrings ($185); Maui Divers Jewelry Pearl Cluster Ring ($495); Ettika Pearl Drop Earrings ($35); Missoma Harris Reed Night Sky Pearl Cocktail Ring ($201); Tuckernuck Pearl Cluster Earrings ($48); Mejuri Pearl Drop Earrings ($78)

4. corsets

Although the actresses on the show have confirmed they wore period-accurate corsets throughout filming, we don’t actually see the undergarment all that often. That said, even the dresses, with their structured busts, have a bustier vibe that we can definitely get behind. Seamed tops that narrow at the waist pair perfectly with loose jeans (to offset those inherently sexy vibes) to combine two hot trends into one cool weekend-ready ensemble.

Shop the trend: Tobi Love Maze Bustier ($76; $38); Good American Cotton Poplin Top ($69); ASTR the Label Clairemont Top ($98); Reformation Sorrento Top ($128); Staud Alice Linen Top ($235); Trendoyl Corset Top ($43)

5. headbands

These are not the Blair Waldorf-inspired super-puff headbands from a few years ago. The new Bridgerton version is more of a fresh take on the tiara and features a narrower silhouette and plenty of embellishments. But rather than add one to an updo, like Edwina’s ball-ready look above, keep things simple to allow all that detail to shine through by wearing your headband with your hair down or in a basic low bun. That said, don’t be afraid to add a pair of coordinating statement earrings into the mix if you want to dress things up.

Shop the trend: Deepa by Deepa Gurnani Rina Headband ($98) Jennifer Behr Essen Headband ($295); ASOS Flower and Pearl Headband ($15); LELET NY Boucle Crystal Headband ($178); Anthropologie Flower Headband ($24); Lele Sadoughi Graduated Crystal Headband ($95); BP Crystal Draped Headband ($15)
