I don’t say this lightly, but I may have just discovered the unicorn of kids’ toys: screen-free, mess-free (more on that later) and entertaining enough to appeal to both my 7-year-old, my husband, but also my baby. (Hey, he may only be 1, but there’s a light-up feature that’s completely captivating—and he’ll definitely grow into using it, too!)

What is this top-notch toy, you ask? It happens to be a new arrival from Crayola and it’s currently on sale for Amazon’s October Prime Big Deal Days (was $30, now $22), which is in full swing from October 7 to October 8, 2025. Psst: Prime Day doesn’t just include kids toys, there are savings across all categories including Prime Day beauty deals, Prime Day tech sales and more.

Back to this Crayola set: I first tested it with my son by my side at a holiday toy fair, held in early fall in New York. I was there to conduct a bit of market research, but brought along my 7-year-old sidekick, who loves Pokémon and soccer, but still cherishes Bluey and considers it a major comfort watch before school and on weekends. Another low-key interest of his? Art.

But that’s what makes the Crayola Light Up Bluey Stamper Art Set so cool: It combines both. Kids can use the Bluey-branded light up stamper to apply the most magical (and vibrant-hued) ink as they stamp their favorite characters from the show (think Chili, Bandit, even Coco) on magical activity pages. How are they magical? Well, the ink—part of Crayola’s Color Wonder collection—will only ever appear on the paper. Not your couch, your kid’s clothing or skin.

Not kidding, my son played with it for as long as he did the LEGO Voyagers video game, which is saying something. There was something satisfying and Zen-like about it — and he wanted to save all his creations, too. It’s also affordable, but add the Prime Day savings and it’s a downright bargain. (I’ll be buying one, if not two—like I said, it won’t be long before my 1-year-old wants to engage.)

As for the other toys on my list? Everything from the Barbie Dreamhouse to tried-and-true MagnaTiles are trending this year. I’ve listed out 9 more I’m keeping tabs on ahead of Prime Day, all perfect for ages 3 to 8+. The holidays are coming and now is the perfect time to stock up.

I’d count this 32-piece set (which comes with a range of classic-hued squares, triangles and more) as the perfect entry point to the MAGNA-TILES world. Better yet, it also checks so many boxes when it comes to your child’s skill development (think fine motor skills, executive functioning, the list goes on).
