Holy Hot Girl Summer. We’ve officially made it to the first month of fall, which means it’s time to stow away the sweat rags and start to break out the cozy cable knits. Except, there’s so much more to the start of autumn than the dropping temps. Here, eight trends you’re about to see everywhere in September.
8 Trends That Will Be Huge in September
Logo Tights
Embellished tights are nothing new, but expect to see designer logos incorporated into your fave influencer’s fall outfit inspo. From Fendi to Gucci, the branded hosiery was all over the runways for fall/winter, and we’re expecting other recognizable labels, like Burberry and Chanel, to follow suit.
Palmini
Move over, zoodles. Our go-to pasta substitute is the former Shark Tank contestant, Palmini. Made from hearts of palm, the long fettuccine like strands stand up better in heat than their squash counterparts, taste starchier and are therefore closer in taste and texture to actual pasta—oh, and at 20 calories per serving. Bon appetit to the guiltless version of our favorite fall comfort food.

Missy Elliott
She’s baaaaack. Misdemeanor surprised fans with a five-track EP, Iconology (and a glorious video for “Throw It Back” that is a true return-to-form), 14 years after her last album release. After winning the Vanguard Award, she went on to wow fans at the 2019 VMAs with a showstopping performance...and we’re certain this is just the beginning of her return to music. We missed you, Missy.
Ingestible Beauty
Four Sigmatic’s edible face mask, Glow Habit’s new good skin and healthy hair gummies, Moon Juice’s Beauty Dust herbal supplement, basically anything sold on Goop...it’s not enough to slather your skin with serums and creams. You now have to apply your moisturizer and eat it, too.
British Period Pieces
From the highly anticipated Downton Abbey movie release on September 20 and a new biopic about Virginia Woolf and her capricious bohemian affairs in Vita & Virginia to a forthcoming Jane Austen series called Sanditon, the ladies of the late-19th and early-20th centuries are back in a big way for fall.
Food Spas
Sign. Us. Up. A new crop of retreats has taken the wellness world by storm. Introducing: Food-focused spa getaways that center on what goes into your body. From a Michelin-star chef preparing every guest’s meal to kombucha on tap, we’re certain the shift from “Om” to “Yum” isn’t going to slow down anytime soon.
Canada
Airbnb has noticed a 328 percent increase in booking for Regina, Canada, this year, while Kayak’s 2019 Travel Hacker Guide lists Montreal as the #1 group trip destination. Blame it on the excitement for fall foliage, or the upcoming political elections, or a love of maple syrup and poutine...whatever the case, we’re ready to pack our bags and head north.
Victorian Boots
Spotted all over the runways for fall, these lace-up boots are having a major moment. From Calvin Klein’s shiny patent version to Yuul Yie’s modern snakeskin version, the iterations on the pointy-toe boot are endless.
