Until today, we couldn’t believe that it’s been more than a decade since the Friends series finale. That was until we realized the twins who played Ross (David Schwimmer) and Rachel’s (Jennifer Aniston) baby, Emma, in the series are now full-fledged teenagers. The best part? They’re back in the acting game.
The 16-year-old twins, Cali and Noelle Sheldon, appear in Jordan Peele’s new horror film Us as Elisabeth Moss’s daughters. And when they hit the red carpet at last night’s premiere we were floored by how grown up they are.
The Sheldon twins have had quite the career journey for a couple of 16-year-olds. Although they didn’t play the newborn introduced during the two-part season eight finale of Friends when Rachel gave birth, they assumed the role in 2003 during the season nine episode, “The One in Barbados.” They also appeared in “The One with the Cake,” although Emma slept through most of that episode, and “The One Where Rachel’s Sister Babysits.” They bid adieu to Friends in season ten with the episode “The One Where Estelle Dies.”
From there, they played a 1-year-old girl named Emma (coincidence?) in the 2004 movie Novel Romance and appeared in a short-lived TV show called Life. Now, they’re starring in a film directed by an Oscar winner and casually working alongside the likes of Moss, Lupita Nyong’o and Winston Duke.
