Sophie Turner Just Revealed Whether or Not Sansa Stark Will Show Up in ‘Game of Thrones’ Prequel

Just because HBO is working on a Game of Thrones prequel doesn’t mean Sophie Turner is interested in reprising her role as Sansa Stark.

In a recent interview with Sky News, the 23-year-old actress discussed the eighth (and final) season of GoT and revealed that she said “ta-ta” to her character…for good.

“I think it’s time to say goodbye to Sansa. I’m ready-ish, to say goodbye to her. I think my watch has ended. It’s been ten years of my life and the best ten years of my life by far,” she said.

In the series finale of Game of Thrones, Sansa separated from the Seven Kingdoms and became Queen in the North, while her brother, Bran (Isaac Hempstead Wright), became King of Winterfell. Although it appears there’s more story to tell, Turner feels she left her character in a good place.

“I feel like if I played her again, it would be just be more trauma,” she continued.

The GoT prequel, which is reportedly called The Long Night, already has an all-star cast, including Naomi Watts (Gypsy), Josh Whitehouse (Valley Girl), Naomi Ackie (Star Wars: Episode IX), Denise Gough (Colette), Jamie Campbell Bower (Fantastic Beasts: The Crimes of Grindelwald, Mortal Instruments), Sheila Atim (Harlots), Ivanno Jeremiah (Black Mirror), Georgie Henley (The Chronicles of Narnia), Alex Sharp (How to Talk to Girls at Parties) and Toby Regbo (Fantastic Beasts: The Crimes of Grindelwald).

So long, Sansa.
