‘SNL’ and Kit Harington Debuted ‘Game of Thrones’ Spin-Off Ideas, and We Need ‘GoT: Special Victims Unit’ to Be Real

We’re not the only ones to have the hots (er, colds) for White Walkers.

Turns out, Jon Snow is cut from the same (fur) cloth. In a skit from the most recent episode of Saturday Night LiveKit Harington introduced one of the many suggested Game of Thrones spin-off show ideas to keep HBO alive post-Thrones era.

One of our favorite proposed shows: Castle Black, a soap-opera-type show set at the Night’s Watch HQ. Turns out, Daenerys wasn’t the only one with a key to Jon Snow’s heart. Now, the King in the North must confront his White Walker lover, and being dead is no excuse.

Another fave: Law & Order: SVU stars Mariska Hargitay’s Olivia Benson and Ice-T’s Fin Tutuola attempting to investigate crimes that are especially heinous (all of GoT’s deaths and injuries seem fit for that category, TBH) at “Flea Bottom, East Side of Rhaenys’ Hill.” Dire Wolf is the executive producer. Too. Good.

Besides Castle Black and Game of Thrones: SVU, there was a Daria-inspired show called AryaThe Queen of King’s Landing with Sam and Gilly, Cersei and the CityNo Ballers about the show’s eunuchs, Wildling OutThe Marvelous Mrs. Melisandre (LOL) as well as two kids’ series: Dire Guys that’s basically Paw Patrol for direwolves and Hodor’s House.

But the comments section on YouTube is where the real gold lies. Viewers gave their own suggestions for show ideas in addition to SNL’s pilots. Some of our faves: Greyjoy’s Anatomy, How I Met Your Mother of Dragon, White Walking Dead…and Friends Zone, starring Jorah Mormont. (Ouch.)

One they forgot? Real Housewives of King’s Landing. HBO, you have our number.
