Shonda Rhimes Stuns in Red Floral Gown for ‘Bridgerton’ Season 2 Premiere

Shonda Rhimes completely turned heads at the Bridgerton season two premiere.

On Tuesday, the cast and crew attend an exclusive premiere event at Tate Modern in London. Fans got to see returning faces like Jonathan Bailey look absolutely dapper in his black suit. Or, new cast members like Simone Ashley showed up to the event rocking a black and white lace Gucci dress.

But, it was Shonda Rhimes’s red ensemble that really caught our eye. The show’s creator wore a red Carolina Herrera floral gown that featured short puffed sleeves and a belt wrapped across the waist. The dress showcased sequin details throughout the exterior. Rhimes tied the look together with a silver tierra (from 14 Carats) and a clutch that resembled a castle.

Unlike its predecessor, the second season of Bridgerton will follow Anthony Bridgerton’s quest for love. After suffering a tremendous heartbreak in the season one finale, he now has a second chance to find the one.

While the new installment will follow a completely different narrative, Rhimes reassured fans that they won’t be disappointed by the second season. Per Netflix, the producer said, “We’ve done a couple of extra special, amazing things that I think fans will be excited about this season, but the reality of it is the glamour of the balls, the beauty of the world, the stunning hair and makeup—all the things that everybody has come to expect from the show—it’s all still there.”

Bridgerton season two is now streaming on Netflix.
