Royal News Roundup: Meghan & Harry Announce Their Christmas Plans, Prince Charles Posts His First Instagram

Here, all the royal news you need to know for the week of November 14, 2019.

  • The royal family reunited for the Remembrance Sunday service at The Cenotaph on Sunday. Queen Elizabeth, Kate Middleton and Camilla, Duchess of Cornwall, stood together on one balcony, while Markle watched from the balcony of another window. We were happy to discover that the arrangement wasn’t a slight to the duchess, but was simply a matter of space—or lack thereof.
  • The Duchess of Cambridge, 37, reportedly met with BBC earlier this week to discuss an all-new project. Although details about the meeting have yet to be revealed, many believe Middleton is working on a secret TV show.
  • Prince Charles made his Instagram debut, when the 70-year-old royal shared his first-ever photo on Clarence House’s official Instagram account. The post honored the Sikh community ahead of Prince Charles’s two-day trip to India on November 13.
  • Prince Harry might be ready to give baby Archie a little sibling. At a recent event, the duke was dropping hints about possibly having another baby and asked fellow parents what it’s like to add a second child to the mix. “Harry was really quite interested in how things were with second children as well, because we both have older children,” Susie Strongfellow told Forces Network. “We were trying to encourage him to have a second baby.”
  • It’s finally been confirmed that Meghan Markle didn’t bring baby Archie to the U.S. Open back in September. The confusion started earlier this week when tabloids reported that Markle did bring little Archie along with her to New York City. The gossip was a result of an interview that Williams did with Access HollywoodBut as People points out, Williams’s words were likely misconstrued.

  • Kate Middleton and Prince William shared some rare PDA during their visit to Shout’s Crisis Volunteer celebration event at the Troubadour White City Theatre in London. As the couple walked toward officials from Shout, Prince William reached out and placed his hand on his wife’s back lovingly. Woah.
  • Queen Elizabeth is still riding horses! The 93-year-old monarch was spotted enjoying a horseback ride around the grounds of Windsor Castle on Monday morning. Clearly, age isn’t slowing down Her Majesty.
  • Looks like Queen Elizabeth will have to spend the holidays without Prince Harry, Meghan Markle and baby Archie. The Duke and Duchess of Sussex are skipping the annual holiday festivities at Sandringham this year. According to Buckingham Palace, Meghan and Harry will be purposely absent from the public walk to church on Christmas morning with Queen Elizabeth and the rest of the royal family.
