Kensington Palace Just Announced Prince William’s Next Tour & He’s Headed to the Middle East Solo

Hot on the heels of his successful visit to Pakistan, Prince William is heading out on yet another royal tour—only this time he’s going without Kate Middleton.

Kensington Palace announced today via Twitter that the 37-year-old Duke of Cambridge is set to visit Kuwait and Oman without his family in less than a month.

The press-release-cum-tweet read, “The Duke of Cambridge will undertake an official visit to Kuwait and Oman at the request of the Foreign and Commonwealth Office. The visit will take place between Sunday 1st and Wednesday 4th December. Further details will be advised in due course.”

It’s a short tour, but that doesn’t necessarily mean Prince William will take it easy while touring the region. While in Pakistan, for instance, he and Middleton crammed an alarming amount of official engagements into their five-day, exceptionally complex tour.

There’s no word yet as to what Prince William will set out to accomplish while in Kuwait and Oman or who he will meet with, but we have to say, we love a royal tour. And, while we’re of course bemoaning the fact that he’s leaving the 38-year-old Duchess of Cambridge and their three children, Prince George (6), Princess Charlotte (4) and Prince Louis (1), at home, every dad needs alone time once in a while.

Our only question: Will Prince William take a page out of K-Middy’s playbook and up his fashion game for the royal tour? Only time will tell.

If you need us, we’ll be celebrating the announcement of yet another surprise royal tour this fall.
