Prince William, Kate Middleton & Queen Elizabeth Share Heartfelt Messages to Archie on His Birthday

Kate Middleton, Prince William and Queen Elizabeth are wishing Archie Harrison Mountbatten-Windsor a “Happy Birthday” from across the pond.

In honor of baby Archie’s second birthday on Thursday, the Duke and Duchess of Cambridge and Her Majesty shared individual posts on social media. The now 2-year-old’s Gan-Gan posted a throwback photograph of Archie alongside his parents, Meghan Markle and Prince Harry, on the royal family’s official IG account.

“Wishing Archie Mountbatten-Windsor a very happy 2nd birthday today,” they captioned the shot, which was taken the day the Duke and Duchess of Sussex introduced the 94-year-old monarch to her eighth great-grandchild at Windsor Castle. (It was also the day they presented him to the public and announced his name for the first time).

In addition, the Cambridges also shared a sweet tribute to their nephew featuring the official portrait from Archie’s christening. They captioned the image, “Wishing Archie a very happy 2nd birthday today.”

Unfortunately, we’ve yet to receive an official birthday portrait from Markle and Harry to mark their son’s milestone (they currently don’t have an active social media account). However, we’re hoping for something over the course of the day.

The last glimpse we got of the couple’s firstborn was back in March during the couple’s groundbreaking interview with Oprah Winfrey. During the segment, the duo released a brand-new video of Archie, sporting a full head of hair as he walks along the beach.

This birthday is also especially important because it will be his last as an only child. This time next year, he will be celebrating turning three with a little sister by his side.

HBD, Archie.
