Regé-Jean Page Announces Special New Project and It's a Real Snooze (in the Best Way Possible)

Dearest insomniacs, prepare to be lulled to sleep by the soothing voice of the Duke of Hastings.

Bridgerton star Regé-Jean Page was recently announced as the newest celebrity to collaborate with Calm, a popular meditation app, for their latest Sleep Story. Now, fans can travel back in time to Old England as Page lends his charming British accent to a reading of Victoria Gosling's The Prince And The Naturalist.

According to Calm, the story follows a "naturalist and his royal pupil," who learns that "Nature is the best teacher."

Although Page is known for getting fans excited (thanks to his previous role on Bridgerton), the recorded story is meant to help listeners relax and fall asleep. While speaking about the new project, Page said in a statement, "I know how valuable relaxation is for us all, especially in trying times, so I couldn’t be more glad to lend my voice to a Sleep Story."

The actor joins a star-studded list of names that have also partnered with the app for Sleep Stories, including Harry Styles, Idris Elba and Priyanka Chopra Jonas—just to name a few.

The news of this exciting project comes just a few months after Netflix announced that Page will not be returning for Bridgerton for season two. In the form of a special note from Lady Whistledown, the show's official account revealed, "While all eyes turn to Lord Anthony Bridgerton’s quest to find a Viscountess, we bid adieu to Regé-Jean Page, who so triumphantly played the Duke of Hastings. We’ll miss Simon’s presence onscreen, but he will always be a part of the Bridgerton family.”

We may not get to see him on Bridgerton, but hearing his charming voice before bedtime is more than enough to tide us over until his next acting gig..
