While Prince Harry, King Charles and other members of the British royal family have openly admitted to watching Netflix’s The Crown, there is one regal series, in particular, that earned a place in Queen Camilla’s Netflix queue

Keeping up with a royal tradition, the queen attended the RHS Chelsea Flower Show on Monday, May 20, with her husband, King Charles

During their visit, Her Majesty took a stroll through the enchanted Bridgerton Garden, which is inspired by the popular Netflix period drama. In a video shared by Daily Mail reporter Rebecca English on X (formerly Twitter), Queen Camilla revealed that she “watched the first lot” of the series.

If you’re a Bridgerton fan (like myself), then you’ve probably noticed the royal connection between the show’s spinoff series, Queen Charlotte: A Bridgerton Story, and the British royal family. According to People, Queen Charlotte (played by Golda Rosheuvel in Bridgerton and India Amarteifio in the spinoff) is actually inspired by the real-life wife of King George III.

Per the official royal family website, Queen Charlotte was the youngest daughter of Duke Charles Louis Frederick of Mecklenburg and Prince of Mirow and his wife Princess Elisabeth Albertine of Saxe-Hildburghausen. Charlotte became queen at just 17 when her husband, 22-year-old George III, ascended the British throne in 1760.

Speaking of Bridgerton, if you haven’t binge-watched it already, season three part one premiered back in May. In her honest review, PureWow’s Senior News and Entertainment Editor Greta Heggeness shared what makes this season different from all the rest. “Bridgerton season three stands out from its predecessors because there isn’t an immediate spark between the two love interests,” she wrote. “In past installments, it’s very clear who will pursue who. But in the newest episodes, Penelope and Colin are initially seen as friends.”

Queen Camilla is a fan of Bridgerton?! Who knew.
