Keeping her memory alive

It’s been nearly 30 years since Princess Diana’s passing, but her legacy is far from forgotten, especially by her family. While her brother, Charles Spencer, recently shared a heartfelt tribute to his late sister, it’s her twin nieces, Lady Amelia and Lady Eliza Spencer, who are now turning heads with their own quiet but stunning nod to Diana’s iconic style.

On August 29, 2025, the 33-year-old twins stepped out for the red carpet premiere of After The Hunt at the 82nd Venice International Film Festival. Dressed in ethereal sheer tulle gowns, one in soft blush pink and the other in a whispery pale blue, Lady Amelia and Lady Eliza looked like they walked straight out of a fairytale. But beyond the beauty of their outfits, it seems like there may have been a deeper meaning behind the gowns.

The stunning ensembles appeared to echo one of Princess Diana’s most unforgettable fashion moments.

Rewind to 1987, when the late Princess attended the Cannes Film Festival for a screening of The Whales of August. That evening, she wore a flowing strapless Catherine Walker gown in silk chiffon, complete with a matching stole that floated dramatically in the breeze. According to InStyle, the look was a nod to Grace Kelly’s wardrobe in To Catch a Thief.

Amelia and Eliza didn’t stop at the dresses. They went all in on the glam.

Amelia accessorized with a diamond choker shaped like delicate leaves, plus minimalist sparkling studs. Eliza went bold, pairing her icy blue look with a diamond necklace centered around a large aquamarine stone and eye-catching statement earrings.

Matching outfits are kind of their thing. Back in June, they showed up in glittering, figure-hugging gowns and yes, there’s even childhood photo evidence of the two in matching swimsuits.

Some things never change. Keep twinning, Lady Amelia and Lady Eliza.
