I Can Hardly Tell Twins Lady Amelia & Lady Eliza Spencer Apart Today—But in These Throwbacks They Look *Much* Different

It’s a big day for royal twins Lady Amelia and Lady Eliza Spencer. Why? Because it’s their birthday! July 10 marks their 33rd trip around the sun and to celebrate both sisters took to social media. Lucky for us, they didn’t just post your standard birthday glam shots. Royal fans got a full-on nostalgic moment, thanks to a mix of stylish recent pics and adorable childhood throwbacks.

Amelia’s post led with a sepia-toned photo of the twins as kids, wearing matching floral swimsuits and smiling at the camera.

"Happy birthday to my soulmate! @elizavspencer thank you for being my better half and my entire universe," she wrote in the caption. "My biggest gift in life is you! Thank you for being my number one forever and always and since before we entered this world."

Eliza jumped into the comments writing, "My world happy happy birthday my everything."

Amelia’s carousel also included shots of the two in matching blue sweaters (each with the first letter of their name), a black-and-white photo of them kneeling outside and one with a horse grazing casually in the background. There were also cute towel-wrapped moments and a few family pics featuring their mom, Sylvana Tomaselli, their brother Edward Windsor, Lord Downpatrick, and sister Lady Marina Windsor.

She even included some more recent gems—like their Tatler and Vogue covers. Swiping through I couldn't help but notice it’s kind of wild how much easier it is to tell them apart in the childhood photos. Different haircuts, slightly different features—I swear I could ID them with 95% accuracy back then. Not quite the same in modern day.

Meanwhile, Eliza posted her own tribute, starting with a photo of the twins in matching white tees, jeans and ponytails.

"Happy Birthday to my heart and soul, my best friend and my world all in one," she wrote. "Thank you for being by my side through it all @ameliaspencer15 forever my better half I love you more than you will ever know."

Amelia replied, "My favourite my world! Forever. I couldn’t love you more! My soulmate."

Eliza’s post echoed some of the same throwbacks, with extras like the twins snuggling with cats or lying side by side.
