Prince William and Kate Middleton just released another portrait of their only daughter, Princess Charlotte, who looks so grown up.
Today, the couple celebrated Char’s seventh birthday on Instagram by sharing a never-before-seen picture that was taken by Middleton.
In the photo, Princess Charlotte is sitting cross-legged in a field of flowers with her arms draped over her knees. She is wearing a polka-dot collared blouse underneath a blue knit sweater, as well as navy blue slacks.
The caption read, “Thank you for all the lovely messages on Princess Charlotte’s seventh birthday!”
Fans filled the comments section with birthday wishes for Princess Charlotte. One person wrote, “My favourite portrait!” Someone even penned a special message to Middleton: “Catherine that is such a beautiful picture of your daughter, you have captured her in all her glory. Hope that Princess Charlotte has had a wonderful birthday.”
The post came a few hours after the Duke and Duchess of Cambridge shared a slideshow of photos on social media in honor of Princess Charlotte’s birthday. One pic featured the young royal posing with her English Cocker Spaniel that her family adopted last year, while the second snap showed her holding a handful of flowers. The caption read, “Seven tomorrow!” along with a cake emoji.
Based on the new portraits, it seems Princess Charlotte is taking after her dad, Prince William. While she’s already taking fashion cues from her mom, the resemblance between Char and William is undeniable.
