Prince Louis Is Turning 4! Royal Family Releases New Portraits for His Birthday

Can you believe Prince William and Kate Middleton’s youngest child, Prince Louis, is turning 4?

In honor of his 4th birthday on April 23, the royal family shared never-before-seen portraits on social media. And he looks *so* grown up.

In the pics, Prince Louis is playing on a deserted beach. He’s wearing blue shorts and a checkered button-down shirt underneath a pullover with stars. Per usual, the portraits were taken by Middleton.

The caption read, “4 years old tomorrow!”

Louis’s birthday comes just a few days after his great-grandmother, Queen Elizabeth, turned 96. The royal family celebrated the milestone by sharing a new portrait of the monarch at Windsor Castle.

“Ahead of The Queen’s 96th Birthday tomorrow, @royalwindsorhorseshow have released a new photograph of Her Majesty with two of her fell ponies, Bybeck Katie and Bybeck Nightingale,” the caption read. “Taken last month in the grounds of Windsor Castle, the photo is the fourth in a series of photos released by the Royal Windsor Horse Show, following images that celebrated the Golden Jubilee, the Platinum Jubilee and Her Majesty’s 90th Birthday.”

The family also posted a throwback photo that was taken when the queen was 2 years old. “Happy Birthday Your Majesty! Today as The Queen turns 96, we’re sharing this photograph taken when she was 2-years-old,” it read. “Then Princess Elizabeth, she was the eldest daughter of The Duke and Duchess of York and was never expected to become Queen. Her life changed in 1936 when her uncle, King Edward VIII abdicated, her father became King George VI and the young Princess became the heir presumptive.”

It seems Taurus energy is prominent in the royal family.
