Prince Harry’s Latest Outing Hinted at One of Baby Archie’s Future Hobbies

Prince Harry has his polo. Meghan Markle has her yoga. And now, after Prince Harry’s latest engagement, we have an idea about what baby Archie’s future hobby will be.

Today, the 34-year-old Duke of Sussex opened the ICC Cricket World Cup 2019 in London. The six-week tournament features the world’s top ten cricket teams (nine of whom represent Commonwealth countries) and marks the fifth time England has hosted the games.

Prince Harry celebrated the opening with a speech and shared further details about the tournament on the Sussex Royal Instagram account. As a new father, he definitely has baby Archie on the brain. So, in addition to highlighting his welcome speech, his and Markle’s shared Instagram account also pointed out what a fun activity cricket is for children. *Sniff, sniff* Is that baby Archie’s future hobby we smell?

“Tournaments like the @cricketworldcup are a huge opportunity to inspire kids all over the world in the power of sport - encouraging them to participate in activity that fosters teamwork, supports an active lifestyle, and builds a deep sense of community,” the caption read.

It went on to explain that Queen Elizabeth and Prince Harry hosted the ICC Cricket World Cup team captains at Buckingham Palace yesterday (during the 8,000-person garden party!) and that today Harry took the opportunity to meet with young people (photographed in the Instagram post above) involved in cricket youth programs, as well as local children from the Henry Fawcett School in London.

The Instagram caption also read that millions of people are expected to attend cricket matches and events across England and Wales in the coming weeks and that 1.5 billion will watch across the world. The Duke and Duchess of Sussex of course extended their congratulations and support to the players, staff and volunteers who are making the tournament possible.

Now the question remains: Will baby Archie catch a match on the telly?
