Prince George and Princess Charlotte Are Set to Be Page Boy and Flower Girl in Their Teacher's Wedding

Today in royal kid news: Prince George and Princess Charlotte have been asked to join their teacher's wedding party.

Yep, George and Charlotte are going to be page boy and flower girl for Prince William's BFF's wedding to the assistant director of Prince George's school of Thomas Battersea's London Day School. This is the same school that 4-year-old Princess Charlotte will begin to attend this September when she's old enough, Kensington Palace recently announced.

According to London's The Times, Prince William and Prince Harry's lifelong friend and godfather to Princess Charlotte, Thomas van Straubenzee, just proposed to Lucy Lanigan-O’Keeffe, the assistant director of the Clapham branch of the school. She also teaches outdoor learning and mindfulness at the Battersea branch, which George (and soon Charlotte) attends.

Per The Times, the Duke of Cambridge will also serve as usher in van Straubenzee's nuptials to Lanigan-O'Keeffe, and may even give a speech at the ceremony. (Sheesh, this is basically a royal wedding at this point.) And, be warned, there's sure to be plenty of dad jokes from William about his kids earning stellar report cards due to their royal status...

Van Straubenzee also served as an usher in Prince Harry and Meghan Markle’s royal wedding at Windsor Castle last May. Since the 36-year-old real estate mogul is Lottie's godfather, George and Charlotte have reportedly been asked to serve as bridal attendants in their dad's best mate's wedding.

This will be Van Straubenzee's second wedding, since he was previously married to Lady Melissa Percy, daughter of the Duke of Northumberland. The couple divorced in 2016 after three years of marriage. Perhaps his connection to Ms. Lucy's pupil, Prince George, allowed van Straubenzee a second chance at love?

And we thought we were A+ pupils...
