It's kind of hard to disagree

It’s an important day for the royal family today. I know that's been said a lot lately but seriously, it is a big day—it’s Prince George’s birthday. The oldest of Prince William and Princess Catherine’s crew turned 12 on July 22. And what did they do to celebrate? Well, they shared a stunning new portrait of the future monarch, followed by a sweet video.

The portrait shows George looking very relaxed, smiling with his arms casually resting on a wooden fence. But it’s the video that really got fans talking.

The short clip opens with a shot of George solo but quickly cuts to a group moment with his siblings, Princess Charlotte, 10, and Prince Louis, 7. At first, they’re all giving classic royal smiles while posing neatly on that same fence. But then comes the fun part: George and Charlotte team up to lift up little Louis in the most adorable sibling moment. The last shot shows the trio holding hands and walking through a garden.

The caption? "12 today!" with a party hat emoji.

And yes, the birthday wishes came flooding in. But what stood out in the comments section was how many people noticed just how happy the kids looked.

"Joyful childhood," one person wrote. "Three happy children," another shared, while a third added, "And the joy looks real.

Another detail people pointed out (including PureWow’s VP of News & Entertainment Phillip Mutz) is George’s smile. It's a total Prince William twin moment. That's not the only thing the father-son duo share in common. There is also their love of soccer. Remember their father-son bonding trip to Paris back in April for a match?

Happy 12th, George!
