It’s always a treat to get a fresh royal sighting—especially when it comes with a striking new photo drop. (Seriously, the royal photographers never miss.) Like, remember that sharp shot of Prince William in uniform? Or King Charles standing solo looking every bit the monarch? Or Queen Camilla grinning like she just heard the juiciest joke at the royal luncheon?

But as much fun as those solo shots are, there’s just something about seeing a royal couple together. Because sure, a picture’s worth a thousand words, but throw in a little body language and you’ve got a whole royal novella on your hands. Case in point: this gorgeous new photo of Prince William and Princess Catherine, posted by Kensington Palace, attending a State Banquet at Windsor Castle.

Catherine’s in a stunning red gown designed by Sarah Burton for Givenchy. And topping it all off? The Lover’s Knot Tiara aka the same tiara once worn by Princess Diana. Meanwhile, Prince William looks incredibly dapper in a formal tuxedo, complete with royal medals. But the real magic? It’s in the body language and the way they’re looking at each other that sends a clear message about the strength of their bond.

The photo captures a moment of the couple smiling at one another and not just any smile. It’s the kind of look that feels full of love, partnership and a little bit of that “we got this” energy. It’s giving total dream team.

It also echoes that sweet moment they shared back in May during the 80th anniversary of Victory in Europe Day. At the time, body language expert Darren Stanton told PureWow on behalf of Slingo the couple was “stronger than ever,” calling them a “dream team” who’s clearly got each other’s backs.
