They're stronger than ever

In February, Prince William and Kate Middleton were completely in sync during their joint visit to Wales in honor of St. David’s Day. Then, in March, the happy couple looked relaxed and at ease as they showed rare PDA at the annual Commonwealth Day service. Most recently, the royals were joined by their children as they commemorated the 80th anniversary of Victory in Europe Day, and not surprisingly, their nonverbal gestures proved that their relationship is still rock solid.

But don't just take my word for it. Body language expert Darren Stanton tells PureWow that the pair is looking "stronger than ever," going as far as to call the duo a "dream team." Speaking on behalf of Slingo, he said, "They put on a united front, and it’s clear they’re working together as a team and wanting to keep their heads held high right now. It’s business as usual for them, and they want to make sure everyone respects them for who they are as members of the family."

"We didn’t see any signs of nervousness," Stanton continued. "Their eye contact with one another was strong and engaged, and their postures were upright throughout. They looked confident and took everything in their stride together."

It's worth noting that there were a few blink-and-you'll-miss-it moments of PDA, like when Prince William gently placed a hand on his wife's waist as they left following the military procession. The sweet gesture indicates that they have a genuine bond, which explains why they "never fail to connect on the same page emotionally," per Stanton. "They’re always in sync with one another’s emotions."

As it turns out, Middleton's outfit choice also carried a deeper meaning that connects to their marriage. Stanton explained, “She was wearing a burgundy colour, which is the colour of openness and connection. It was really important to her to make her presence known on the day and be the face of the Royal family alongside William."

The royals may have had a tough year, due partly to Middleton's cancer diagnosis, but they've proven to be resilient and consistently show their mutual affection during their public outings. It's no wonder Stanton refers to them as the dream team.

He said, “In many ways, Kate and William are emerging as the ultimate dream team in the family. It was great to see them take the lead and be in the limelight, setting a great example for the nation.”
