Royal followers and fans were naturally curious and concerned when Kate Middleton pulled out of the Royal Ascot in mid-June. Reports at the time said she was disappointed to miss the day, but that she’s still in the process of easing back into public life after undergoing cancer treatment.

Fortunately, fans got a glimpse of Princess Catherine just last week during a surprise outing to Colchester Hospital in Essex. And then, this morning, in honor of French President Emmanuel Macron and his wife, Brigitte, visiting the U.K. for an official State Visit, the princess once again appeared, this time alongside her husband, Prince William.

Today, the Prince and Princess of Wales greeted the French president on the first day of a three-day State Visit before taking part in a carriage processional. William wore his signature navy blue suit. Meanwhile, Princess Catherine wowed in a pale pink look from Christian Dior (though some might argue Queen Camilla stole the show in green).

According to the BBC, "Catherine and the Prince of Wales got a big cheer from the crowd during the carriage procession in Windsor."

But as if this outing weren't enough for fans of the princess, it was also revealed that she'd be appearing once more...for tonight's state dinner at Windsor Castle. And, man, Princess Catherine didn't disappoint—as evidenced by the striking royal photo below.

Kensington Palace posted an image of the Prince and Princess of Wales standing together. They captioned the image, "Ready for what promises to be a wonderful State Banquet this evening in Windsor."

The Princess wowed in a gorgeous red gown designed by Sarah Burton of Givenchy and, perhaps more importantly, an eye-popping tiara, specifically the Lover's Knot Tiara (previously worn by Princess Diana).

This might seem like a normal occurrence, but it's actually been quite some time since she last wore a tiara.

As Hello! points out, this was "Kate's first tiara moment in two years since attending the last white-tie soiree for President Yoon of the Republic of Korea in 2023."

Back at the 2023 event, Princess Catherine arrived to the state banquet at Buckingham Palace with South Korea's Deputy Prime Minister Choo Kyung-ho. The dinner was similarly part of a three-day state visit from South Korean President Yoon Suk Yeol and First Lady Kim Keon Hee.

For that occasion, she donned the one-of-a-kind Strathmore Rose tiara, a headpiece the royal princess had never worn before. Per The Court Jeweller, the headpiece previously belonged to the Queen Mother, and Catherine was the second person to ever wear the tiara out in public, with the Queen Mother being the first. She styled the iconic tiara with a beautiful white dress designed by Jenny Packham with gold embroidered cape sleeves and white opera gloves.

Princess Catherine certainly made an impression back in 2023 and then again tonight—let's just hope it's not another two years before we see her in a tiara again.
