Kate Middleton, 41, looked as gorgeous as ever when she walked into the State Banquet at Buckingham Palace, which took place last night, wearing an elegant white gown and a tiara with an interesting backstory.

The Princess of Wales was among the many guests to make an appearence at the white-tie event hosted by His Majesty, King Charles, in honor of President of the Republic of Korea Yoon Suk Yeo and First Lady Kim Keon Hee visiting the U.K.

According to People, Princess Catherine had a moment of firsts when she stepped out rocking the one-of-a-kind Strathmore Rose tiara, a headpiece the royal princess had never worn before this event. In case you weren’t aware, this is the first time the floral tiara has been seen in almost nine decades (yup, nine).

Per The Court Jeweller, the headpiece previously belonged to the Queen Mother and the name given to the tiara was inspired by the royal’s father, Earl of Strathmore and Kinghorne. And if that weren’t enough, Catherine is the second person to ever wear the tiara out in public, with the Queen Mother being the first.

As stated by Harper’s Bazaar, the royal mom of three styled the iconic tiara with a beautiful white dress designed by Jenny Packham with gold embroidered cape sleeves and white opera gloves. As the pièces de résistance, she accessorized the ensemble with diamond drop earrings. And she certainly turned heads indeed.

This latest appearance comes after Catherine and her husband, Prince William, 41, attended a ceremonial welcome for the President and the First Lady of the Republic of Korea at the Horse Guards Parade earlier that day. For the occasion, the royal princess sported an elegant updo (for the second time in a couple of months!) with a fierce red coverup that featured a giant bow.

Absolutely stunning (as always).
