It's been over six years since Adele took part in Carpool Karaoke, the popular segment from The Late Late Show with James Corden. In the series, famous musicians are invited to ride around in a car with Corden, where they do live renditions of some of their own songs, while also singing along to popular tracks by other artists.
When Adele visited the show, she sang a number of her own titles—including “Someone Like You” and “All I Ask”—while also covering pop classics like “Wannabe” by the Spice Girls. However, perhaps the best moment of her visit was when she burst into Nicki Minaj's verse from the Kanye West song, “Monster.” Although Adele had prefaced the moment by saying that she was “not that talented” on her own, she still impressed viewers with her performance of the verse.
Now, Nicki Minaj recently guest-starred on Carpool Karaoke, and she excited fans when she sang along with Adele's rendition of the verse, even employing some of the same mannerisms as the “Easy on Me” singer. Prior to rapping, Corden asked Minaj what she thought of Adele's performance, to which Minaj replied, “I just loved it. I mean—she made me so, so happy. She embodied...she embodies Ms. Minaj.”
