The Surprising Thing Meghan Markle & Princess Beatrice’s Husband Have in Common

We originally thought that Prince Harry’s wife, Meghan Markle, and Princess Beatrice’s husband, Edoardo Mapelli Mozzi, had very little in common, aside from marrying into the royal family. But that’s not the case.

As Hello! magazine points out, there’s a special connection between Markle and Mozzi: They both attended Christmas Day service in Sandringham prior to becoming official members of the royal family.

This might not seem like a big deal, but for Queen Elizabeth, it is. In years past, the monarch has only invited new family to the intimate get-together once they’ve tied the knot. However, Markle and Mozzi are two in-laws who cut the corner.

Markle made her debut at Christmas Day service in 2017 alongside Prince Harry, Kate Middleton and Prince William. Her attendance was a pretty big deal at the time, because her wedding was still five months away. The soon-to-be duchess wore a gorgeous camel coat by Sentaler, which she paired with Stuart Weitzman boots, a Philip Treacy hat and a Chloe pixie bag. Shortly after the appearance, royal fans coined the term “Fab Four” for the foursome.

As for Mozzi, he spent Christmas with the royal family immediately after proposing to Princess Beatrice in September 2019. The couple later tied the knot in July 2020 at the Royal Chapel of All Saints in Windsor after their initial ceremony was postponed due to the coronavirus pandemic.

Shout-out to Queen Elizabeth for being lenient on plus-ones.
