When we first learned that Meghan Markle and Prince Harry named their daughter Lilibet “Lili” Diana Mountbatten-Windsor, we immediately spotted the connections to Queen Elizabeth and Princess Diana. However, it turns out there’s more to the uncommon baby name choice than we even originally thought. In fact, there’s even a special link to the Duchess of Sussex’s wedding bouquet.
Back in 2018, Harry and Markle exchanged vows at St. George’s Chapel. During the ceremony, the duchess walked down the aisle holding a stunning flower arrangement which was handpicked by her hubby-to-be from flowers in the Kensington Palace garden. The bouquet included a mix of forget-me-not, scented sweet peas, astilbe, jasmine, astrantia, myrtle and lily of the valley. Yup—lily.
