Mark Consuelos Jokes About His Shortcomings in New IG Post (But Kelly Jumped in with a Loving Response)

Mark Consuelos has never shied away from making jokes on social media (especially when it involves his wife of 26 years, Kelly Ripa). But in the Riverdale star's latest post, he wasn't pictured with his better half, but rather, two former NBA basketball players (and twin brothers), Jason and Jarron Collins. And in the caption, Consuelos made a subtle joke about their height differences.

“Former soccer player vs former basketball players,” the All My Children alum said. In the photo, Consuelos stands between the two retired athletes, who tower above him, and he joked they were going to put him in a BabyBjörn carrier, adding, “Not sure why I have my fists up.. I was concerned they were going to put me in a Bjorne..”

Of course, Ripa popped into the comments to show her love for her hubby, commenting on his action-ready pose by writing, “Action figure vibes [heart-eyed emoji].”

Meanwhile, MMA star Juan Archuleta loved the 51-year-old actor's stance, commenting, “Always ready to scrap [raising hands emoji] hahah.” Some users poked fun at Consuelos, like one who wrote, “Wow! That photo looks like they shrunk you, and you want to fight them for it.” But others loved that the father of three was able to make fun of himself, like another follower who said, “That’s a healthy dose of self confidence.”

Although she wasn't pictured, it seems that Ripa was in the room with Consuelos (and she might've been the photographer who captured the moment), because the Night Shift actor tagged her on the photo. He also tagged activist Elsa Collins (who was also not pictured).

Consuelos and Ripa have been traveling all over the place recently. Not only did the Live with Kelly and Ryan co-host just wrap up a book tour to promote her new memoir, Live Wire, but during one of the stops, she and Consuelos headed to the University of Michigan to support their youngest son, Joaquin, 19, as his wrestling team got recognized for their championship win.

Back in August, the couple got to spend some time with all three of their kids, including Joaquin, as well as Michael, 25, and Lola, 21, during a tropical getaway.

In a shot of all three kids that Ripa shared to Instagram, she wrote, “It sure was nice having the chickens back in the nest for a couple of weeks. Back to life…..back to reality #summer #vibes.”

Even when the kids are gone, we're glad Kelly and Mark are having fun with their sporty friends.
