Kelly Ripa Calls Out Husband Mark Consuelos on IG: ‘Babe, You Have to Come Up with Something New’

Mark Consuelos will need to step up his Instagram game—especially when it comes to commenting on his wife's posts.

In case you missed it, Kelly Ripa shared an IG pic of her husband in honor of Independence Day. Consuelos is looking right at the camera as he sits against the wall, while Ripa captures her own silhouette. She wrote, "Happy 4th from @instasuelos and The Shadow."

Consuelos commented on the post with three red heart emojis, and while several fans found this romantic, Ripa called him out for sharing the same three emojis under multiple posts. She replied, "@instasuelos babe, you have to come up with something new besides the three hearts." In response, one fan joked, "Four hearts?" Another said, "Three hearts for your three kiddos."

Observant fans will recognize this trio of heart emojis from a few of Ripa's previous posts, including her snap from the Gaynor Gala and the close-up pic of her wavy new hairstyle back in May.

So yeah, we can totally see why the Live with Kelly and Ryan co-host would want her husband to switch things up once in a while.

Ripa's 4th of July themed post comes just a few days after she and Consuelos embarked on their latest rock-climbing adventure. On Instagram, she offered fans a glimpse of them scaling a steep cliff, complete with backpacks and helmets. Ripa captioned the post, "Couples therapy."

Interestingly enough, Consuelos shared a slightly different version of his go-to comment, opting for not three, but five heart emojis and writing, "Legzzzzzz." (That counts for something, right?)

Perhaps Ripa's response will inspire the actor to get a little more creative with his IG comments.
