Maria Menounos is sharing a rare glimpse of her growing family.
Yesterday, the TV host, 45, posted a slideshow of photos on Instagram that deserve to be framed. The pics featured Menounos and her husband, Keven Undergaro, cuddling with their 5-month-old daughter, Athena.
The first photo showed the family in a warm embrace. The second was a candid shot of Menounos and other family members smiling at the baby.
“Thanksgiving day snuggles! Hope you all had a beautiful holiday,” the caption read. “It’s been a rough few holiday season’s for us—seven to be exact—so grateful for this new chapter and for everyone who has loved on us, helped us and held us in your prayers. Thank you [red heart emoji].”
Menounos’s caption was referring to her recent health journey, which started in 2017 when she underwent surgery for a benign brain tumor. Then, earlier this year, she was diagnosed with pancreatic cancer while expecting her first child.
In June 2023, the TV personality and her husband welcomed their baby girl via surrogate. In an exclusive interview with PureWow, Menounos explained how becoming a mom has helped her find happiness.
“I feel like I know my priorities now,” she said. “I finally know where I belong. I was chasing something I didn’t know was missing for so long. And now, like on a Saturday I’ll have put her down to sleep, and I’ll forget that I have her. I’d think ‘Oh, maybe I’ll go... Oh, no, I don’t need to go there. Oh my God. I’m so happy here.’”
Menounos added, “I used to have to leave. I was trying to find joy in other places. And she's just brought all of it to us, so I know where I belong. I know that she's what matters most in life. Obviously, my husband and my dad and the dogs and everybody too. But she’s really my goalpost every single day.”
