Ryan Seacrest just teamed up with a former soap opera star. (Hint: It’s not Kelly Ripa.)
The American Idol personality enlisted a brand-new guest co-host for this morning’s episode of Live with Kelly and Ryan: Real Housewives of Beverly Hills star Lisa Rinna. The news was announced on the official Live Instagram page, where producers shared a behind-the-scenes video and confirmed that Rinna is filling in for Ripa.
In the clip, Seacrest and Rinna are welcomed to the stage by announcer Deja Vu. Right on cue, they head toward their seats with their arms linked together. While Seacrest is rocking a classic suit, the Real Housewives star is wearing a dark long-sleeve dress and high heels.
The caption read, “@lisarinna is today’s guest cohost!”
This isn’t the first time that Ripa has been absent from Live with Kelly and Ryan. Earlier this month, Seacrest brought in not one, but two special guests in Ripa’s absence: Luke Bryan and Carson Kressley.
And this week, he enlisted Scandal actress Katie Lowes, who filled in for Ripa for two days in a row. During yesterday’s taping, Lowes opted for a colorful, garden-inspired Zimmermann dress, which she paired with matching heels and large hoop earrings. (FYI, she also served as a guest host back in 2021.)
