The post (screenshot above) includes a portrait of Cooper, who’s wearing a collared shirt under a black sweater. The pic is set against a blue background, features the show’s official logo (natch). “Friday guest: Anderson Cooper,” the text reads.
This isn’t the first time Cooper has appeared on Live with Kelly and Ryan. For example, the TV personality stopped by the talk show back in 2020. But unlike his latest appearance, Cooper previously filled in for Ryan Seacrest as a co-host (not a guest).
At the time, producers shared a clip on the show’s official Instagram account, featuring Kelly Ripa and Cooper walking from the dressing rooms to the stage as they discuss their unintentional matching ensembles. They even took a moment to chat with Dan the coffee man. “We’re live now with guest cohost @andersoncooper!” the caption read.
It’s no secret that Cooper has been friends with Ripa for quite some time. Earlier this month, Ripa shared a special tribute on Instagram shortly after Cooper had welcomed his second child via surrogate: a baby boy named Sebastian.
