‘Live with Kelly and Ryan’ Was Finally Back to Normal Today

After an interesting first week of 2021’s Live with Kelly and Ryan, it seems the morning show is back to normal (and by normal we mean it’s back to being aired live).

ICYMI: Last Monday, Tuesday and Wednesday, Kelly Ripa and Ryan Seacrest kicked off the new year with brand-new episodes of their hit show, Live. However, towards the end of the week, it was revealed in two behind-the-scenes clips shared by producers on the Live Instagram page that Thursday and Friday’s episodes were actually pre-recorded.

In Friday’s video, the co-hosts (both looking chic in their glasses) were seen making their way to their seats to begin shooting. “Today’s show is all new...but prerecorded earlier in the week,” the post’s caption read. The previous day, the account shared a similar video with the same message. Unfortunately, it has not been revealed why both episodes were not live but they were clearly planned for since the show organized to shoot them ahead of time.

However, it looks like things were back to normal this week because Monday’s episode was actually live as it aired. In a new video shared on the show’s IG, both the 50-year-old TV personality and her 45-year-old co-host were getting ready to begin the show on stage (Ripa looked stunning in a puff-sleeve navy gown). “We’re live now!” the IG caption read.

So, while we’re still waiting for answers about last week’s episodes, we’re hoping this week stays (as the title intends) live.
