Kelly Ripa and Ryan Seacrest Wore Purple on ‘Live’ in Support of LGBTQ+ Youth

Kelly Ripa and Ryan Seacrest love to show up in matching outfits on their popular talk show Live with Kelly and Ryan.

Whether they're twinning in blue or sporting the same Christmas sweater, the pair are no strangers to coordination. In one of their most recent episodes, the duo were seen twinning yet again, but this time around, there was a special meaning behind their outfits of choice.

The TV hosts wore purple in honor of Spirit Day, an annual awareness day promoted by GLAAD that is meant to acknowledge bullying experienced by LGBTQ+ youth and in turn, to fight against it. Purple is the color used to designate the special day.

Seacrest shared a photo of their 'fits on his Instagram, where we can see Ripa sporting a lilac blouse and a gray pencil skirt, while Seacrest wore a lavender button-up under a navy suit, along with a purple pocket square.

In the caption of his post, Seacrest said, “Going purple to stand against bullying and support LGBTQ+ youth! Be proud of who you are and remember to spread kindness every day. Happy #SpiritDay!”

We got another glimpse of the pair's outfits on the official Live with Kelly and Ryan Instagram account. In this clip, Deja Vu introduces the hosts and as they walk in, we can see that Ripa donned a pair of gray heels to match her skirt.

Fans loved the support from Ripa and Seacrest, and they filled the comments section of Seacrest's post with purple heart emojis. One user said, “You both look great!” And another commented, “Thank y’all for doing this!”

Purple looks good on them.
