Kelly Ripa Posts Pic of Herself & Husband Mark Rocking ‘Artistic’ Bathing Suits (& Fans Lose Their Minds)

Kelly Ripa is so stranger to sharing throwback photos of herself and her husband Mark Consuelos. But her latest post from a past vacation is the only one we’ve ever seen turned into a painting. And it’s pretty impressive.

On Monday, the 50-year-old actress shared a slideshow on her personal Instagram page, featuring a sweet snap of herself and her hubby from what looks to be a tropical vacation. In the photo, we see the couple holding hands while standing in the sun with the ocean in the background. Ripa rocks a blue two-piece bathing suit while Consuelos shows off his toned body in a pair of black swim trunks with a dog on the right leg.

While we love a good TBT (not to mention, a thirst trap pic), we were immediately drawn to the second photograph, which featured a painted version of the picture and was apparently gifted to them by fellow actor Ted McGinley. According to the caption, the artwork was painted by his wife, artist Gigi Rice.

“Is it real or is it @thegigirice? Thank you Gigi and @thetedmcginley for making the second time even better than the first!” Ripa captioned the post.

The internet had plenty of opinions on the piece. Both good and bad. Critiques took issue with the Live with Kelly and Ryan co-host’s depiction in the painting. One follower wrote, “Mark looks amazing in painting but the artist didn’t do Kelly justice,” while another added, “Not crazy in love with the painting—especially Kelly’s face.” However, there were plenty of positive comments too. “This is really incredible, bravo,” a fan chimed in.

Of course, some people even felt the need to show their “thirst bucket” sides by pointing out the special placement of the dog on Consuelos’s bathing suit. One comment read, “Very. Interesting. Dog tongue placement. Just. Sayinnnnnn.” Alright, folks, calm down.

We can’t wait to see where Kelly will be hanging this piece.
