The Necklace Mark Consuelos Doesn’t Want Wife Kelly Ripa to Wear to Brunch

Kelly Ripa and Mark Consuelos recently won medals for running in the Big House 5k run at the University of Michigan. No one could blame the morning talk show host for wanting to flaunt her latest prized possession everywhere she goes. However, her husband doesn’t want her to wear the honorary medal to one location in particular: brunch.

The 51-year-old actress posted a selfie of herself wearing the Michigan-themed medallion on her Instagram Story. While making a duck face, Ripa posed with the honorary necklace and proceeded to write, “@instasuelos doesn’t think I should wear the necklace to brunch.”

Meanwhile, the song “Ugly” by Bubba Sparxxx played over the photo. It seems Ripa picked a specific line from the song, which highlighted her latest achievement. The lyric talked about “taking a picture” and being a “legend.” Consuelos also reposted the pic on his Story for all his followers to see.

Over the weekend, Ripa posted about the event on her personal IG page. In the snapshot, she and her husband were shown wearing the medal in front of a billboard that displayed the school’s block “M” logo. (FYI, the university happens to be the same school their son, Joaquin, currently attends.)

She wrote in the caption, “Two incredibly average runners. One Big House!! #bighouse5k.”

The All My Children alum also shared the same snapshot on his page, writing the caption, “Fantastic time at the Big House 5k w/ my fave.” Their eldest son Michael proceeded to tease his parents in the comments, saying, “Invite me to the next one. I’ll smoke you both.”

Sooo, that means no medal at brunch then?
