Kelly Ripa just shared a series of never-before-seen family photos in honor of her clan’s furriest member, Chewie.
Yesterday, the Live with Kelly and Ryan co-host, 49, posted a slideshow on Instagram in honor of National Dog Day. (Yes, it exists.) The post features several snapshots of Chewie over the years, including rare selfies and action shots of the four-legged pal living his best life in Ripa’s backyard.
She wrote, “Happy #NationalDogDay to dis bitch. Calm down. She’s a girl. #Chewie.”
This isn’t the first time Chewie has made an appearance on Ripa’s Instagram page. Back in May, the actress shared a slideshow of photos featuring Chewie posing with different members of the family, including her husband, Mark Consuelos, and their two sons: Michael (23) and Joaquin (17).
She captioned the post, “Happy Birthday Chewie! 91 human years young (we think) and still have most of your teeth! Atta girl.”
One month later, Ripa posted a photo on her Instagram Story that confirms Chewie is not a fan of water. “Chewie does NOT enjoy bath time,” she wrote.
Ripa has been using this time of social distancing to give us an unofficial tour of her home(s). So far, sneak peeks have included her bathroom, pool, at-home gym, wall décor, backyard and gorgeous landscaping (featuring a shirtless Consuelos).
If Chewie only knew how lucky he is to have Ripa and Consuelos as his parents…
