Major congrats are in order for Katy Perry and Orlando Bloom. The couple is expecting a baby girl!
The 35-year-old singer announced the big news in an Instagram post over the weekend, sharing a sweet photo of her fiancé with pink frosting all over his grinning face. “It’s a girl," she captioned the post.
“They are both so excited about having a baby. They are also ecstatic that it's a girl," a source told People. “They love that they have this amazing, positive thing to focus on right now. It’s such a happy distraction for them.”
The American Idol judge revealed she’s pregnant last month in a music video for her song "Worn Over White," even sharing a few clips on Instagram.
The clips show Perry in all florals before showcasing her dressed in all-white cradling her stomach as she sings, "See us in sixty years with a full family tree (I do)." We see what you did there, Perry. She also shared that it was "the longest secret" she ever had to keep. Aside from spilling the news on IG, she moved on to Twitter with a cheekier response. "Omg so glad I don’t have to suck it in anymore," she tweeted. "Or carry around a big purse lol."
The "Never Really Over" singer got engaged to Bloom on Valentine’s Day last year after dating on and off for two years. This will be their first child together (with Bloom already a father to 9-year-old Flynn).
Looks like Katy got her wish.
