Katy Perry Shares Never-Before-Seen Footage from the Day of Her Daughter's Birth

Katy Perry just showed her appreciation for hubby Orlando Bloom in a rare post on Instagram.

The 36-year-old singer shared a clip of the actor in honor of Father's Day, with a caption that said, “Happy first Father’s Day to to the healer of my heart and the giver of my greatest gift [daisy emoji]... I love you WHOLE world ♥️.”

Perry used the daisy emoji in reference to the name of their daughter, Daisy Dove Bloom, who was born back in August. To recognize Bloom as a father, Perry shared a never-before-seen snippet from the day when she gave birth.

During the clip, Bloom is seen sitting opposite Perry, wearing a blue hospital gown and playing soothing music from a boombox in his lap. As the meditative sounds resonate through the room (and Bloom hums along with it), Perry flips the camera to herself, where she smiles from her hospital bed.

The "Teenage Dream" singer recently revealed the meaning of her daughter's name in a Jimmy Kimmel Live interview, saying, “Daisy, to me, means pure, like purity. And Dove means peace, and Bloom kind of feels like it means joy, so, pure, peace and joy.” During the appearance, Perry also mentioned how great Bloom has been throughout the entire process, telling Jimmy, “He's been amazing, incredible, and we're so in love and we're so grateful.”

Bloom has a 10-year-old son named Flynn from his previous marriage to Miranda Kerr, but this is the first child between he and Perry, who have been dating since 2016.
