Kate Middleton Switched Up Her Hair (Again) for Her Latest Royal Engagement

Once again, Kate Middleton temporarily ditched her signature dark waves for something new—and this was one of her most elegant looks yet.

On Instagram yesterday, the Duchess of Cambridge shared footage of her recent two-day visit to Copenhagen, Denmark, which marks her first solo overseas tour in five years. Upon her arrival, she was greeted by Emma Hopkins, the British ambassador to Denmark. For the occasion, Middleton not only donned a show-stopping red blazer in a subtle tribute to the country's flag, but also, she opted for a sleek 'do by straightening her hair rather than wearing her usual curls. (Spoiler alert: Those curls were back again today during another royal outing.)

The new hairstyle comes just a few weeks after she switched up her hair for a rare outing with Prince Charles and Camilla Parker Bowles. For their special visit to the Prince's Foundation in London, the duchess styled her brown tresses into an elegant half updo, featuring a gorgeous small knot and a cascade of loose curls. But this wasn't the only time she changed her look.

If you recall, she kicked off the year with a bouncy blowout, after wearing laid-back waves in her birthday portraits. Then, the royal donned a stylish ponytail in an IG video that featured her tossing a rugby football.

During her recent visit to Copenhagen, Middleton sat down with researchers from the Copenhagen Infant Mental Health Project to help promote the mental well-being of young children. The IG caption reads, "In Denmark, health visitors give parents support to help with their children’s social and emotional development. The Copenhagen Infant Mental Health Project aims to promote the mental wellbeing of parents and their children—and the relationship between them."

Followers in the comments were quick to praise the royal for her efforts. One fan said, "Thank you for all you do in promoting and improving Early years initiative." Another added, "Love the work the Duchess of Cambridge does."

Rolling out new 'dos and making a difference? Clearly, this duchess is on a roll.
