Meet Jonathan Van Ness’s partner: Mark Peacock. Last month, Van Ness revealed that he and Peacock tied the knot last year. The Queer Eye star announced the surprising news on Instagram and shared a detailed caption about his 2020 milestones. He wrote, “I got married to my best friend & have a loving partner to continue building my life with.”
Van Ness also dished on their meet-cute in another Instagram post, adding, “We went on a date in London, which turned into more dates whilst I was on comedy tour. Something about Mark felt different, and I’m quite sure he felt the same.”
Van Ness’s last confirmed relationship ended in 2018. The Queer Eye star announced his breakup with Wilco Froneman in a now-deleted Instagram post, citing the lyrics to Ariana Grande’s “Thank U, Next”: “She taught me love, she taught me patience, how she handles pain, that s**t’s amazing.”
Van Ness also asked fans to be kind to Froneman, adding, “Please don’t go in on Wilco, he doesn’t need the anger & I don’t want to see him suffer so just know I’m all good & sometimes people break up—Love you all so much.”
Excluding Froneman, Van Ness hasn’t gone public with any other relationships. However, don’t mistake his secrecy for lack of experience—all it means is his former flings haven’t revealed themselves (at least not yet).
Despite popular belief, the answer is no. Van Ness previously teased fans with a joint Instagram, called “Jvntoni,” but later revealed the relationship is strictly platonic.
“Also for clarification, [Antoni Porowski] & I are a couple—of very close friends who run a satirical couple account and may fall in love someday, but that day is not necessarily today,” Van Ness wrote on Twitter. To which Porowski responded, “Babe, what?! Um call me rn.”
