All the Details on Jennifer Lopez’s Lacey VMA Ensemble
Jennifer Lopez may not have performed at last night's MTV Video Music Awards, but she still managed to steal the show when she stepped on stage to present a very special award.
The 52-year-old actress stopped by the VMAs last night (though she didn’t hit the red carpet) in NYC and announced the winner of this year’s Song of the Year award: Olivia Rodrigo for her hit “Driver’s License.”
“Happy 40th birthday, MTV!” Lopez said before presenting the award. “Tonight is your party, and I've got to tell you, tonight it feels so good to be here in my hometown for the VMAs.”
And while we loved seeing two of our favorite pop stars together on the same stage, we couldn’t help but be distracted by Lopez’s stunning ensemble.
For the occasion, the “Let's Get Loud” singer rocked a black lace-up top and matching mini skirt with slits up each leg. The entire ensemble was designed by David Koma. She polished off the look with some clear ankle-strap heels and voluminous beach waves. See the full outfit below.
Naturally, Lopez also shared footage of herself modeling the look in a video on Instagram. The Hustlers actress looks fierce as she walks backstage in the clip, which set to Doja Cat’s “Boss Bitch.”
And we weren’t the only ones loving the fashion moment. Fans and followers quickly filled the comments section of the post with compliments. One user wrote, “You looking so beautiful and wonderful,” while another added, “Excuse me!!!!!! One of my all-time fave looks now.”
We couldn’t agree more.
