Jennifer Hudson Performs 'Hallelujah' with Street Singer & It's *So* Good

Jennifer Hudson just joined forces with a street musician for a special performance, and we have chills.

TikToker Cameron Rowland received the surprise of a lifetime when music legend Jennifer Hudson stopped by and joined him for an impromptu duet. On TikTok, the L.A. based artist documented their surprise encounter at the beach and said, "I cannot believe this. Jennifer freaking Hudson came up to me while I was singing on the street and she sang with me… dream come true."

In the clip, Hudson sings a powerful rendition of the final song, Leonard Cohen's "Hallelujah," as Rowland accompanies her on guitar.

Hudson also shared footage of the performance on her Instagram and wrote, "I was taking a walk on the beach and heard some beautiful music so I had to stop and listen. When the artist announced his last song would be Hallelujah, I couldn’t help but join him! Y'all know that’s my favourite song!"

She added, "I am so inspired by people doing what they love. He is such a talent."

Fellow celebrities and fans filled the comments with praise, including Reese Witherspoon, who wrote, "Amazing!!" Another fan gushed, "You’re brilliant. Your voice gives me butterflies and makes me cry happy tears."

The singer and actress recently made headlines with her Oscar-worthy performance in the Aretha Franklin biopic, Respect. But now, she has her eye on the director's chair. In her interview with The Wrap, she said, "I’m really grateful, and I want to be able to continue to do what I love to do. And I’m getting to do that. Maybe one day direct. You take a little step, one step, one day at a time, and I learn as I go."

We'll be keeping an eye out for Hudson's directorial debut.
