If there's one thing we've learned from Gabrielle Union's latest Instagram post, it's that wearing red, white and blue on the 4th of July is sooo 2000 and late.

Instead of the traditional color combo, the 48-year-old actress opted for a more multicolored look, which included a floral-printed frock dress courtesy of the Christopher John Rogers x Target collection.

Union sported the vibrant gown over a pair of whitewash jean shorts, and she added a pair of golden hoops from Jennifer Fisher to top it all off. The Bring It On star shared the outfit in a series of photos where she got cozy with her husband, Dwyane Wade, on a sandy shore in the Hamptons. She captioned the post with a fireworks emoji and two black hearts.

While Union and Wade snuggled up on the beach, they also took a trip to the North Fork Wine Country in Long Island. While there, the couple got a video with their daughter, Kaavia James, who was wearing a flamingo peplum top and matching short set from Janie and Jack. Union shared the video with a caption that said: “Family Time North Fork Edition.”

As the family smiled for the clip, we noticed that Union had added a new piece to her colorful ensemble. Now that she was out of the sand, the 10 Things I Hate About You actress wore a pair of hot pink Giza Olympius trainers courtesy of the DirtySoles footwear group.

Union's followers couldn't get enough of the family content (and her beautiful dress.) One user put it best when they wrote, “Beautiful family, beautiful dress.”

We couldn't have said it any better ourselves.
