Charles Spencer Posts Childhood Pic with Sister Princess Diana (and Fans Say She Looks Just Like Princess Charlotte)

This week, royal fans like myself were treated by Charles Spencer to yet another childhood throwback photo (I highly recommend becoming one of his Instagram followers). Only this time, the snap featured his older sister, Princess Diana, and was taken during the siblings’ early school days.

On Wednesday, the 9th Earl Spencer posted an old photo of himself and his sister taken on the first day of school in September 1968. While donning the same red school uniform, a young Charles Spencer beams next to Diana, who is wearing a white hat on top of her short blonde hair.

In the caption, the 59-year-old British author wrote, “My father took this photograph of me and my sister, Diana, just before he drove us to Silfield, a really lovely primary school in King’s Lynn, Norfolk. The headmistress was Miss Jean Lowe, a warm and thoughtful lady who loved her boys and girls.”

The father of seven goes on to say that he attended the primary school in London (along with the former Princess of Wales) before enrolling in the private institution that is the center of his newly released memoir, A Very Private School.

In the comments section, fans couldn’t get over how much young Princess Diana resembles her granddaughter, Princess Charlotte. One person commented, “Princess Charlotte is Diana's copy.” Another follower shared the same sentiment, writing, “Princess Diana lives on in Princess Charlotte.”

This is not the first time royally obsessed fans such as myself noticed a striking resemblance between the Spencer family relatives. Back in October 2023, Charles Spencer unveiled the official cover for his personal memoir on Instagram. I was quickly one of many that noticed the 9th Earl Spencer looks just like his nephew, Prince Harry (especially when the duke was a young boy).
