Carrie Underwood Stuns in Sparkles at First Public Outing Since Welcoming Son Jacob

Baby number two isn’t slowing down Carrie Underwood, and her latest appearance is proof.

The 36-year-old singer and her husband, Mike Fisher, recently attended the 2019 Academy of Country Music Awards at the MGM Grand Garden Arena in Las Vegas. The outing doubled as Underwood’s first public appearance since welcoming her second child, a baby boy named Jacob Bryan.

When they arrived, the couple posed for pictures on the red carpet. Underwood stunned in a gorgeous, one-shoulder gown with thigh-high slits by Nicolas Jebran, while Fisher wore a classic black suit. (Natch.)

During the awards show, Underwood sang a flawless version of her new song “Southbound.” She also teamed up with This Is Us star Chrissy Metz, Mickey Guyton and Maddie & Tae to sing “I’m Standing with You” from the Breakthrough soundtrack.

Although Underwood was nominated for Female Artist of the Year, the award went home with Kacey Musgraves.

Before the performance, Underwood shared a selfie on Instagram and revealed what really goes down before the show.

“Getting ready for my performance……also pumping,” she wrote.

The singer and her husband met in 2008 when they were set up by Underwood’s bassist, Mark Childers. The couple announced their engagement in December 2009 and tied the knot in July 2010 in an intimate ceremony at the Ritz-Carlton in Lake Oconee, Georgia. They are also parents to a 4-year-old son, Isaiah Michael.

Parents’ night out? Check.
