Dearest Reader, ‘Bridgerton’ Season 3 Has Started Filming and There’s a New BTS Video to Prove it

Guess what, Bridgerton fans? Filming for season three has officially begun. All of our favorite characters will be back for the new season, which will focus on Penelope Featherington’s (Nicola Coughlan) relationship with Colin Bridgerton (Luke Newton).

To celebrate the news, the Bridgerton cast and crew released a new BTS video on Instagram that featured some returning cast members. The video starts with Jonathan Bailey—who plays Anthony Bridgerton—holding up two fingers before adding another one to mark the filming for season three.

The caption read, “I spy the makings of a new social season. By the looks of things, it would seem the third installment of Bridgerton is officially underway.”

Other cast members, including Golda Rosheuvel (Queen Charlotte), Claudia Jessie (Eloise), Luke Thompson (Benedict) and Adjoa Andoh (Lady Danbury), make a special appearance and do the same gesture.

The clip ends with Newton standing in front of a horse carriage. He proceeds to open the door and Coughlan is sitting inside. “Bridgerton season three filming has officially begun,” she says before asking her co-star, “You coming in?” He quickly replies, “Let’s go!” and enters the carriage.

Back in May, Netflix revealed the third season will focus on Colin and Penelope’s love story. This change heavily deviates from the book series, being that Benedict Bridgerton’s love life was supposed to be explored in the third installment. But, the streaming service decided to skip ahead and focus on Colin and Pen’s relationship instead.
