Paging Madeline Martha Mackenzie. Big Little Lies season two is no longer just a pipe dream, and we finally have an actual date.
According to TV Line, HBO is in talks to begin production of the second installment of the popular miniseries as early as spring of next year. Yep, that means the band’s getting back together. Even BLL executive producer and writer David E. Kelley suggested the second season was nearing scheduling time.
The series, based on Liane Moriarty’s novel of the same name, neatly tied up its book-to-TV plot during the season one finale, but fans still wanted more. And with eight Emmy wins this year, the show seems ripe for additional storytelling.
So what will happen to Bonnie (Zoë Kravitz) post-PTA party? Will Renata (Laura Dern) become part of the inner circle? Will Spamalot replace Avenue Q as the most controversial performance the town has ever seen?
