America Ferrera’s newest addition arrived just in time for Mother’s Day.
No, really. The Superstore actress, 36, revealed that she and her husband, Ryan Piers Williams, welcomed their first daughter last week. Ferrera announced the exciting news on her personal Instagram account and confirmed they named the baby girl Lucia Marisol Williams.
She captioned the post, “LUCIA MARISOL WILLIAMS arrived on May 4th to give me my Mother’s Day hugs and kisses herself. Mama, Dada & Big Brother are over the moon to welcome her bright light to our family.” Ferrera is referring to Lucia’s Spanish-Italian baby name, which means “light.”
Williams also celebrated Lucia’s arrival on his personal Instagram account. He shared the same exact slideshow, which included a photo of the proud parents cradling the newborn’s hand, followed by videos from Ferrera’s baby shower turned donation party.
He wrote, “The most exquisite little creature graced us with her presence on May 4, 2020. Please meet the newest member of our family, Lucia Marisol Williams. She came just in time for Mother’s Day. Everyone is healthy and happy!”
We first learned about Ferrera’s pregnancy on New Year’s Eve when she announced the news to the masses on Instagram. She and Williams are also parents to a 1-year-old son, Sebastian (or “Baz”).
